Big news!

It was my birthday yesterday, I opened my cards and presents in the morning and had a huge breakfast.

Later in the day while I was still in my pyjamas, my boyfriend announced he had arranged for us to go out to dinner. Nights out are difficult to arrange now we have a young son so it was pretty exciting news!

The dinner was just perfect.

We decided to take a walk through the Royal Pavilion gardens before catching a cab home, it was there my boyfriend proposed! I said yes without hesitation.



I am a very happy girl indeed :)

We Make Christmas

I have been very busy preparing for a Christmas fair which takes place next weekend. I am packing prints and postcard sets to sell on the stall and feeling very excited to be selling at my first fair!

I feel like I am in a sweet shop every time I visit, I have returned several times to drool over the huge selection of cameras. I decided to treat myself so I bought a green Savoy camera which I just can't wait to get my hands on!

All I Want For Xmas

I am just finishing some brooches ready for All I Want for Xmas, a gift and design market. This will take place at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London for four weeks beginning 26th November. See here for opening times and exact dates.

All Things Original are running a stall with some gorgeous and unique goodies by sellers on their website including my jewellery collection, Cassia Rose.

Here are a handful of brooches that will be available.

Stick Me No. 2

Popular etsy seller Yaelfran asked me to be part of a collaborative sticker book along with six other photographers/illustrators.

I am very excited to share with you the finished product, available here! You can now have six little pieces of Lola's Room along with a small collection from other artists.

dollyknits is a very sweet place to visit. I am particularly taken with the hats, it's so hard to decide which I would buy. I love the quirky "Slipped Pom Pom Hat" with a nod back to the 1920s, I also love the cosiness of the "Flap Hats" for those extra cold days.
