I had some errands to run this morning, the sun was out, it was glorious!
I wasn't quite ready to go home so I took a walk along the pier, it's been a while!
During the winter I visited the pier alot it was like a love affair, just the pier and me before the crowds arrived.
Over time I stopped visiting, busy with other things. My son is getting older and his needs have changed, toddler group has been our thing in the mornings.
I took some new photographs. It seems the pier and I needed a little break so we could see each other with fresh eyes.
....I have fallen back in love again.

Treasure
Oooh! I was so excited when I looked through the window of my local charity shop.
I saw a very cute magazine rack staring back.
I had one of those indecisive moments where I knew I loved it but wondered if it would look as good once it was sitting in my lounge.
I bought it and it looks wonderful! I love the green tones next the dusky pink interior.
The light is terrible in my lounge so here it is in the hall.
Flowery sweetness :)

Sharon Montrose Photographs
I have to share this wonderful photographer with you.
Sharon Montrose is a commercial photographer and author from Los Angeles. She has an etsy shop where she sells prints of animals.
At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking she has excellent skills in Photoshop but Sharon's subjects are real! A Kitten, Camel, Goose and even an Alligator are just a few of her models, all photographed against the same white and grey background.
Simple, eye-catching work that will bring a smile to your face.
Visit Sharon Montrose's website here.

365 Days in Colour
In October 2008 I set myself a project called 365 Days in Colour.
I take one digital photograph a day for 365 days. Each month has a colour theme, now we are in May and the chosen colour is white.
The reason I am doing this?
I felt stuck and blinkered and needed a fresh view of my surroundings.
To like or even love the digital camera.
To see if I could commit myself in this way for a year.
To have a pretty set of 365 thumbnails in my flickr set that change colour.
What has changed?
I love my digital camera and want to buy a better one.
I can commit myself to this very easily.
I feel so inspired.
I look at my surroundings differently.
I am not afraid of colour anymore.
I have a pretty set of 224 thumbnails in my flickr set that change colour.
My passion for photography is bigger than ever.
I am on day 224 already! It is part of my life now, I will miss it when it is over.
Here are some of my favourites so far...
I set up a group if you want to join.

Bunny Blues
Today I collected bunny from the frame shop, I will put him on my wall.
I found the sweetest little frame in a charity shop last week and thought "Bunny Blues" would go perfectly.
I have decided to introduce a matting service in my shop. Now you can buy a print and get it matted so it arrives ready to put in a frame! All matts will fit a standard 11 x 14" frame.
Bunny Blues is available in my shop.

Yokoo
This is what Yokoo says about herself.
"Yokoo, an underwhelmed accessories designer
who runs on sentences, photographs her work,
then gives them to you."
She creates chunky knitted accessories; over-sized chain necklaces, neck warmers, pom pom headbands and bags.
All are made by hand and, with her sales count, she's doing a lot of knitting!
You can spot Yokoo a mile off with her edgy style and sense of humour.
I love what she does!
Visit Yokoo's etsy shop here.

I Have a New Brooch!
I came home to a package today, it was a sweet brooch by Betty Jo Designs.
I had a tough time choosing! I narrowed it down to the Sparrow or the Umbrella, Suzie Sparrow won in the end. My brooch arrived beautifully packaged and attached to a pretty playing card, I also received a Betty Jo postcard which looks like it was printed in the 1950s, beautiful!
These quirky creations are made using cut lino and buttons, they are little treasures!
